The Rivertowns

Public markets were once a hallmark of civic life, where producers and neighbors could meet as they went about their daily routines. We are embracing the sense of community that defines the Rivertowns, while providing a forum for our local culinary stars to share their latest creations. Join us at the Dobbs Ferry Waterfront Park for a day filled with vibrant food, exciting drinks, live music, kids' activities, and an easygoing but festive vibe.

Ali Moss

Ali is a documentary producer and writer who lives in Dobbs Ferry with her husband Jon Bardin and two young daughters, Esme and Sylvie. She spends most of her time thinking about what to eat next -- and running on the aqueduct trail to make up for it. Her favorite foods include sushi, tomato sandwiches, black truffles, parmigiano reggiano, lemon meringue anything, and mac and cheese.

Doug Schneider

Doug is a Dobbs Ferry-based food photographer with clients that include Atlantis Bahamas, Rosa Mexicano, Bronx Brewery, and Westchester Magazine. He’s also the co-founder of Mohican Studios, a collective focusing on corporate photography. Doug has a particular weakness for Thai food, pickles and ice cream.

Jenny Rosenstrach

Jenny is the creator of Dinner: A Love Story, a website devoted to family dinner, and the bestselling author of three books, Dinner: A Love Story, Dinner: The Playbook, and How to Celebrate Everything. She lives in Dobbs Ferry with her husband, Andy Ward, and two daughters.

Kate Sonders Solomon

Kate is a cooking instructor who lives in Hastings-on-Hudson with her husband and son. She also dabbles in cake decorating and is a savory tart enthusiast. She adores pasta and noodles, especially ramen.

Michelle Adams

Michelle lives in Nyack with her son, Auguste, and partner, Chris Vergara, the chef/owner of Westchester restaurants -- Harper's in Dobbs Ferry, Saint George in Hastings-on-Hudson. Michelle is an event producer that manages public and private events at the restaurants and beyond. Throughout the Summer and Fall months Michelle forages and grows materials to turn into unique winter wreaths. You can see some of her work at Michelle Adams Events and on Instagram at The Wreath Forager.

Robin Helman

Robin is a graphic designer and art director who lives in Irvington with her husband Phil Whitney, and daughters Clementine and Scarlett. She has worked with Mouth.com, The Irvington Farmers Market, and Martha Stewart Living. Every summer Robin returns to Italy to visit family and master creating the perfect truffle pizza.
