+ When will the Market take place and where?

Rivertown Public Market will take place at the Waterfront Park in Dobbs Ferry from 11 am - 4 pm this Saturday!

+ How much does it cost?

Rivertown Public Market is free to enter, and all the entertainment and kids’ activities are free, as well. In order to consume alcohol, you must show ID and purchase a wristband for $5 at the entrance. All food and drink is pay as you go, but items are sized and priced to encourage trying lots of different foods.

+ What kind of food will be there?

We’ve got a great line-up of vendors selling everything from pulled pork sandwiches, lobster rolls, vegan samosas, and burgers to cupcakes, ice cream, and peach cobbler. There will be wine, beer, and hard cider, including cans of the rare Heady Topper from Vermont’s Alchemist Brewery, as well as a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks. Dutchess County’s Taconic Distillery will be offering tastes of their exceptional bourbon and the barreled Blood Orange Old Fashioned they created exclusively for the Market in collaboration with Rochambeau Wines & Liquors — you can also pick up a bottle to take home and savor as the weather turns cooler. You can see the full list of vendors here.

+ What’s there for kids to do?

Right when the Market opens at 11 am there will be a performance by the renowned Mario the Magician. All day long, Hastings Yoga, Edge Martial Arts, and Westchester Turf & Tennis (soccer) will be offering free classes for kids of all ages.

+ Is there music?

We’ve got three rocking local bands taking the stage between noon and 4: Osaka de Janeiro’s up first, followed by Divining Rod, and Greetings from Anywhere will play us through the end of the day.

+ Can I park at the station?

A limited amount of free parking is available at the station on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to walk or carpool if at all possible, and if you have friends joining from outside Dobbs, suggest they take the train to meet you.

+ Is the event cash only?

No, but it’s best to bring both cash and cards. Many of the vendors will not accept credit cards, a few will not take cash, and wristband purchases will be cash only, so come prepared!

+ Are dogs allowed?

While we love dogs, unfortunately they don’t always mix well with food and kids, so they are not allowed at the Market.

+ Does the event benefit anything?

Net proceeds will benefit the Rivertowns Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization dedicated to making the Rivertowns a fun and inviting place to eat, drink, shop, and have a good time.
