1:30p - Greetings from Anywhere
Formed high up on a hill in Dobbs Ferry, NY in 2007, Greetings From Anywhere mashes folk, blues, bluegrass and country into a unique roots-rock hybrid, performing with the gritty, impromptu abandon of a good-old-time garage band. Veterans of the NYC and Hudson Valley club, pub and festival circuit, GFA features a wide array of original compositions alongside choice reinterpreted feel-good covers.
Graceful lead vocalist Sheila Noonan-Gorham, who's steeped in the tradition of Irish music, is joined by a supporting cast with diverse musical backgrounds; acoustic guitarist/banjoist Andrew Schriever cut his chops in the Boston folk scene, electric bassist Adam Friedman and drummer Doug Schneider are veterans of the jam band circuit, and Ken Lockwood plays fiddle with various local bands in genres from jug-jazz to rock.
2:45p - Amy Lynn & the Honeymen
Amy Lynn & The Honey Men is a seven-piece machine that blows glitter all over the traditional memphis-motown soul/rock style. At the controls is Amy Lynn, a vocal powerhouse whose unique flair of quirky, down-to-earth humor countervails against the serious musicianship of The Honey Men’s team of bari sax, tenor sax, trumpet, keys, bass, and drums. Both together and apart, members of The Honey Men draw on a range of experience playing for acts such as Roberta Flack, Spoon, Bette Midler, Red Baraat, St. Vincent, The National, Yo La Tengo, Loser's Lounge, Duffy, Antibalas, and the Radio City Orchestra.
